Yes I am so cold.. have to go pick up my hubby at work now and i dread walking out the door, walked the dog and froze my butt off.

yes I am glad our Dec group is growing, the more the better.  I am surprised you are not required to go on a liquid diet, but i guess all docs are different. 

Are you near Indianapolis?? I went there for a conference once, loved St Elmos fire steak house great shrimp ****tails.. ok enough food talk..

Well, I have to go to the center on Nov. 18 for my last appointment, so they might just spring it on me then....LOL then I will be in trouble.... .

No, I'm about 3 to 4 hours south of Indy. I am in a little town called Tell City, it's on the border of Indiana and Kentucky. I did live in a big town (Vegas) and don't know what posessed me to ever move back to this one.

Hi Yoly: About your picture, set your camera for the lowest resolution (usually labeled Email) . This will enable you to set up your picture. They really don't give you much to work with here.

VEGAS... cool.. we just went to see Jimmy Buffet the weekend of Oct 18th, my birthday was the 21st and we had a blast.. we love going to vegas.. always come home broke!!

I know the feeling, even if you live there you stay broke...lol   You are surrounded by casinos who are all willing to cash your paychecks for you.... They get you before you even get a chance to get it to the bank. LOL

So you just had a birthday too? Mine was on the 24th of this month...wow. Well happy birthday!

Hi all!

How is everybody doing?  I have had the stomach flu since yesterday and I feel like I have been run over by a truck!!  I have been sleeping alot!  I wish I were in Vegas right now!  It must have been quite the culture shock Candy going from Vegas to a small town in IN!  I moved from Chicago to the burbs and that was a shock for me!  LOL.  I have never been to NY Yoly, but its one of those places I would love to visit!  Ok well I am going to crawl back to my bed and hope that when I wake up tomorrow I feel human again!  I have made it work everyday so far and don't want to call in tomorrow!  I only work Mon thru Thursday anyway so if I made it this far I can make one more day!  I have a couple of days I need to take off for doctors appts and thats not flying real well with my boss.  She is great but I can tell she is not liking the days off.  Thank god, she has know about my surgery since May!  They are prepared for me to be off. 

I have been having the same problem with my avatar!  I can't get any of my pics to fit in there!  I wouldn't even mind just some kind of artwork!  I get frusterated and then give up.  I will have to figure it out so I don't have that goofy one they give you.  It makes it look like you are trying to hide or something lol.

Hey there ladies!

Michelle I definitely know the feeling, I have been fighting a cold for about a week now. Good thing that it is now and not December or I'm sure they would postpone my surgery until I was not sick .   I hope that you start feeling better soon! Yeah it is definitely a shock moving from a place like Vegas back to a place like this, it's like going back in time. LOL
I am not able to work right now due to problems with my back and hip so I don't have the problem with the boss, but I do know where you are coming from. I was told by my pain management doctor about 6 months ago that I can't work anymore and should put in for disability so I am waiting on a decision from them now.


And Yoly I know that sometimes family and friends think that they know what's best for you but in the long run you have to do what YOU want to do. They aren't the ones who have to live with the decision you make. It's something that you want and there are risks to anything. I think that all of us will do great! We just have to keep a positive attitude and keep our spirits up.

Hi Everyone! I'm getting the gastric sleeve on Dec. 3rd and would like some company as well through all of this! I have been on the "no carb" high protein diet since September and have dropped 12 pounds     I am near completion of the pre-ops, just need  some more iron infusions to boost the levels.   Sunday I will start the liquid pre-op diet for 10 days and agree with you guys that it will be a challenge to make it through Thanksgiving without a bite! Keep in touch so we can continue this journey together.
